Organized in 1988, we're a bunch of friendly, fun lovin' folks who fly fish for just about every-thing that swims in freshwater and saltwater, warm-water and coldwater--bass, trout, bluegill, sunfish, catfish, gar, carp, crappie, tuna, sharks, redfish, tarpon, bonefish, snook, goggle eye, salmon, pike, grayling and more. You name it, and at least one of us probably has chased it.
Most of us are fellas, but we have several outstanding lady members that we're mighty proud of, too. We'd like to have more.
Although we're centered in Waynesville, we have active members throughout central Missouri, in several other states, and military members from Japan to Germany.
Some of us are military at Fort Leonard Wood, several of us used to be, and some of us never have been.
A few of us are excellent fly fishers, many of us are pretty average, and we've got our share of duffers, too. Some of us are fly tyers, some aren't. Nobody cares what you are or aren't. It's your interest and enthusiasm that count
We're an affiliate member of the International Federation Of Fly Fishers, a group of over 300 fly fishing clubs Federation of fishing clubs worldwide, and of the Conservation Federation of Missouri, too.

Our regularly scheduled meetings are at 7 pm on the third Tuesday of each month. From May through September, we have a cookout at a pavilion in the Waynesville City Park. From October through April, we meet at the St. Robert Ramada Inn. Once a year in the spring, we have a big gala banquet. We try to have a guest speaker at all of our meetings.
We publish a monthly newsletter full of important club information and questionably reliable gossip about our fishing exploits. It's called the REFA River Rap, and we'd like to see your name in it!
We participate in conservation projects such as establishing the Roubidoux Creek Trophy Trout Management Area, planting stream side trees, monitoring water quality, improving in stream habitat and more. We work closely with the Conservation Department, Department of Natural Resources, Conservation Federation of Missouri, Fort Leonard Wood and other fly-fishing clubs, and we've got a solid record of conservation successes.
We provide personnel and financing for youth education in fly fishing, fly tying and environmental conservation. And we love to introduce grownup kids to the fly-fishing sport, too.
The first full weekend of every October, a thousand fly fishers from all over the South gather in Mountain Home, Arkansas, for the Federation of Fly Fishers' Southern Council Conclave. It's a gangbusters two days with our sport's top practitioners, along with great fishing in the world-famous White River. We're always heavily involved. If you've never been, we guarantee it'll knock your socks off!
